Re-Bid for the City of Morganton Fleet Washing Station

The City received bids for the above-referenced project on 12/20/2022, but only received two bids. The bids were return to the bidders unopen and were ask to re-bid the project later when posted. This project is being let as a formal bid. A vicinity map has been provided for your convenience and reference. The project involves the construction of an Arco Building Systems Building or Approved equal with approximately 2,850 SF +/- for housing a car wash station. The project will also include demo and site preparation, including concrete work, asphalt work, plumbing, and various pipping apparatus to tie-in drain line to sewer system, water line improvements, catch basin, utility work storm drainage, electrical, etc.

Due to the nature of the project, the general contractor will be required to work closely with the City Departments and the carwash systems installation contractor to insure that the construction improvements are install in accordance with plans and to accept the carwash systems. Bids must be received prior to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday December 28, 2022. The formal bid proposal submissions shall be submitted prior to that date, at any time during our normal business hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday to the Development and Design Services Department. The bid proposals shall be submitted sealed by mail, or delivered in person to the Development and Design Services Department on the second floor of City Hall, Attn.: Mario Sclarandis P. All bids must be accompanied by one of the forms of bid security listed in the bid Summation, references of previous similar projects, and the applicable Affidavit A or B of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise ( DBE / MBE / WBE ) forms included in the bid packet. Failure to include these items with the bid proposal may be deemed as non-responsive. No bids shall be received after the abovestated time. Three originals of the bid documents shall be delivered to the City by the awarded Contractor for inclusion in and execution of the Contract Documents.
