Looking for a friendly, organized, and flexible individual to join the recreation team.  This position reports to the Parks and Recreation Director and handles a wide variety of department administrative duties, such as providing information on programs and services to public, organizing calendars, assisting with program registration and handling facility rentals, handle revenue from programs, and accurate organization and maintenance of records and files.

Work requires:

  • High degree of public interaction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in-person and by telephone.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers and the general public.
  • Broad knowledge of office operations plus an independence and initiative that require little or no supervision.
  • Knowledge and skills of computer programs and technologies (Microsoft Office – especially Excel) to keep accurate records and generate creative media to support recreation programs.
  • General understanding of accounting and budgetary departmental functions, including preparing timesheets, coding and approving invoices for payment, sales tax reporting, and budget monitoring.
  • Will occasionally work nights and weekends as needed.

Graduation from high school supplemented by post high-school coursework in business management, office management, or related field, or an associate's degree is preferable. Three to five years of actual office management experience that includes public contact, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Salary range is $34,341 - $51,512.  Open until filled.  First review of applications will be on Monday, October 30, 2023.
