The Morganton Parks & Recreation Department is looking for an energetic, organized, flexible individual to join the hometown team as an Assistant Supervisor to help plan, coordinate, and execute various athletic leagues and programs during the summer.  This is a great opportunity for someone who is considering a career in the field of Parks and Recreations.    

This position works closely with the Parks and Recreation Athletics Supervisor and requires great customer service, ability to work as part of a team, and sound judgment and discretion in the application and interpretation policies and procedures.  This position will assist with various athletic programs, including baseball & softball (leagues & tournaments), volleyball, cornhole as well as special events and other programming activities as needed.  Must be able to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.    Starting pay rate is $11:00 / hour.  This is a temporary job currently scheduled for 30-40 hours a week during the summer season; possibility for position to continue on a part time basis after the summer.
