CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST- CoMPAS Cable:  Position is responsible for providing reception, customer service, administrative support and account receivables work.  Work includes processing customer requests and generating work orders for new services, transfers, upgrades, and disconnections.  Also answers inquiries in person and by phone about services, due dates, accounts, bills, payments, credit, extensions, and other areas for customers.  Must be able to handle a variety of customer problems and complaints and follow established procedures for handling and resolving complaints including checking on work orders, researching problems with accounts, and calling customer back with results and status.  Position coordinates the re-connections of utilities accounts disconnected due to non-payment, assists technicians with information in person, by phone and makes and takes marketing and sales calls.   Job also performs various routine administrative support tasks for department staff including light typing, filing, etc.  Must have a working knowledge of computer operations and be able to deal with customers, employees, and the general public with tact and courtesy.  High school graduate with experience in customer service or an equivalent combination of education and experience.    Salary range is $28,942 - $ 43,413.  Open until filled.
