Maintenance Worker - Recreation

Position performs a variety of unskilled manual work and tasks requiring the use of simple motorized equipment and hand tools.  Landscapes and maintains recreation parks and grounds including mowing grass, raking leaves, trimming shrubbery, removing trash and brush from grounds, planting trees, shrubbery, flowers, and assisting with the lining of athletic fields.  Position also helps maintain both indoor and outdoor recreation facilities.  Must have working knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping and maintenance of recreational facilities.  Must be able to perform heavy manual work in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift 75 lbs. safely and be able to bend, stoop and climb in a variety of construction and maintenance situations.    Must have a valid North Carolina driver's license.
