Parks & Recreation Maintenance Technician II

We are looking for a Teammate to join the Parks & Recreation Department! This position performs a wide variety unskilled and semi-skilled work in the repair, maintenance, construction and care of parks, related grounds and facilities. Work involves minor electrical, plumbing, construction, and landscaping / field preparation duties.

The successful candidate will have general knowledge and skills in the use of tools, materials, and equipment used in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and performing light carpentry.  Must be able to function independently and as part of a team – the work in this department is diverse! Experience in a related field or trade (plumbing, electrical, construction, landscaping, carpentry, general maintenance), and / or post-secondary degree or applicable certificate in related skill / trade is preferred. 

Starting salary is $ 27,564.
