This position is in charge of supervising the weight room, ensuring a safe environment and adherence to facility guidelines while providing excellent customer service and supporting other teammates in the Recreation Department. 

Duties include checking membership cards, taking payments, and generating receipts; cleaning of equipment and rooms; and providing customer service.  Knowledge and familiarity of weight room equipment and safety practices are desirable, but will also be taught on the job.

The ability to maintain good relationships with patrons, coworkers and superiors is critical.  Dependability, reliability, and attendance is essential.

Targeted hours are 16-20 hours per week.  Typical shift times during the week are 8 AM-2 PM, 2 PM – 8PM, 8AM - 4 PM, and 4 PM - 8 PM Monday through Friday and Saturday 8 AM -12 PM.  Employees will be responsible for opening the Collett Street Recreation Center Weight Room promptly at 8:00 a.m. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Must have a flexible work schedule and weekend work is required.
