Art and Culture in Morganton

One of Morganton's more recent murals is getting some attention from the Hello North Carolina: Stories from Main Street podcast. The 13 by 58 foot piece is the creation of Alexa Eliana Chumpitaz, and is on the side of Bigfoot Climbing Gym in Downtown Morganton, North Carolina. The project brings together the combined efforts of the Foothills Conservancy, the North Carolina Museum of Art, and TOSS, a Morganton-based arts non-profit.
