Communications Center
The Public Safety Department no longer has a Communications Division at headquarters. Communications is now located at the Burke County Emergency Communications Center (BCECC).
BCECC is a consolidated 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) serving all of Burke County. Twenty-four hour dispatching services is provided for all LAW, FIRE and EMS agencies throughout the county. The BCECC mission is to serve the community and local government agencies with effective emergency communications services and to serve as a facilitator of communications for public safety agencies in Burke County. Their vision is to excel in the quality of service provided to the public and to all the public safety agencies served.
