Fire Services Personnel and Apparatus Information

The Morganton Public Safety Fire Services Division consists of 26 fire personnel:

  • 1 Fire Services Captain
  • 3 Shift Lieutenants
  • 1 Training Lieutenant
  • 21 fire engineers and firefighters

The Fire Services Division delivers fire suppression and Vehicle Extrication services while working a 24hr on/48hr off schedule, manning 4 first-out fire apparatuses from 3 fire stations, 24 hours a day, with 8 personnel per shift.

Apparatus resources consist of a fleet of 5 Engines, 1 Ladder, 1 Quint, 1 Tanker, 1 Service Truck, and 4 Support administrative vehicles.
