Full-Time Firefighter Requirements

To Qualify

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina.
• Commitment to obtain and maintain certifications in various emergency service disciplines 

To Apply

• Candidates will complete and satisfactorily pass the following to proceed in the application process:
• Firefighter physical agility test (see document below for full details).
• Oral interview.
• Background check.
• Physical exams
• Pre-Service Drug Screening.
