An employee is this position performs responsible technical work in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment and fixtures. Also performs technical work in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical fixtures, wiring, equipment and components.  The employee works independently and may serve as a lead worker at times. Performs preventive maintenance and adjustments to City electrical systems; keeps city owned buildings and parks operating with proper lighting and electrical needs, such as repairing light fixtures, power outlets and electrical controls. Works with electric line crews to find and identify power outages after storms. Performs related duties as required. Graduation from high school supplemented by technical training in electrical principles and considerable experience in a skilled electrical trade; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum possession of a limited electrical contractor’s license.   Starting salary depends on experience (salary range is $38,785 - $58,177). Open until filled.
