Morganton JAM

FALL REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED!

Morganton JAM (Junior Appalachian Musicians) is an after-school program that offers small-group instruction for traditional old time and bluegrass music. The program is offered to children ages 7-18. Students can learn fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin and bass. Students will enjoy learning from visiting artists, taking field trips and and getting an introduction to the music unique to our community.

When: Monday (Intermediate and Advanced Lessons) and Tuesday (Brand New and Beginner) from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Where: Collett Street Recreation Center 

Cost:

  • $5.00 per class or subsidized tuition based on student lunch status
  • $10.00 monthly instrument rental fee (Students may provide their own instrument)
