Domestic Incident and Burglary Sparks Large Police Response

In the early morning hours of Tuesday March 12th, officers with Morganton Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the 100 Block of Asheville Street for a report of a Burglary with a weapon involved.  

Two male occupants of the residence were forced outside while the suspect held a third female victim inside. MDPS Swat team, drone operators and the Negotiation Team arrived and shortly after the female victim exited the residence.
