February/March 2024 - Terry Ratchford – Watercolor and Pencil

Terry is a self-taught watercolor and colored pencil artist, from southern Gaston County NC, where she lives with her husband on farm land that has been in his family for seven generations.  Terry’s art is inspired by objects experienced and seen around her every day.  Her work is an opportunity to revisit the childlike joy of being surprised.  If a viewer stops for just a moment to view and reflect on a piece she has created, then she feels she has succeeded in her work.
