The Public Information Office is responsible for sharing information about city government and services with local citizens and the public in general. The Public Information Officer uses a variety of methods to spread the word about the City events, programs, and services including news releases, the city newsletter, utility bills, social media sites, and the city website. The goal of the Public Information Office is to promote city services and events, release government news and information to the public, and answer questions about local government in Morganton. Jonelle Sigmon currently serves as the Public Information Officer for the City of Morganton.
