Public Records Request

The City of Morganton is committed to transparency and open government, and the City follows all State of North Carolina laws regarding Public Records. To submit a Public Record Request, please fill out the form below, or call the Public Information Officer at 828-432-2516. The city will provide any existing public record that is not exempted per state law.

Please note that the city is not required to create records.

Our initial response will be to the email address provided. Please double-check your email address for accuracy and ensure that any email filter you use allows incoming email from the @morgantonnc.gov domain. Otherwise, you may not receive our response.

Please provide a complete description of the record you are requesting. The more specific you are, the easier it will be to locate and send the record. Overly vague requests may require the city to contact you for more details.
